The problem with cakes, pies, pastries, ice creams and desserts, in fact, lies in their caloric intake which, if exaggerated, can put your diet at risk, making you accumulate unnecessary fats. But what happens if these sweets are prepared in a healthier way? To find out, read on …
Why do sweets make you fat?
In addition to the above, it is important to know that the danger of sweets is not only that they can make you fat, but that they can worsen your cardiovascular health. On top of that, they deplete your energy, since they inject quantities of processed sugars into the body that create an energy spike but for very short periods. Their very high content of hydrates hides inside flours, saturated fats and the aforementioned sugar.
Regardless of whether they are industrial or homemade desserts, their fats are derived from the ingredients used to process them. Such as oils, butter, yogurt, hydrated flour, various types of sugar and many other components such as additives, food colors and, of course, preservatives. To avoid ingesting foods loaded with calories, and poor in nutritional elements such as vitamins, fiber or mineral salts, it is necessary to limit the consumption of these foods.
Just to give a few examples, olive or coconut oil are perfect substitutes for the generally used fats, being healthier. At the same time, you can replace the processed hydrates with cereal bran such as oats or flax, for example. Banana is an ideal egg substitute and agave syrup is an ideal component to add in place of sugar. Some people prefer to use sweeteners, but our advice is always to constantly favor the most natural solution possible. As in the case of these three recipes for desserts that make you lose weight.
3 dessert recipes that make you lose weight

Below, we will share with you 3 preparations that will allow you to consume desserts that are tasty and full of flavor but which, at the same time, are low in calories and fat. In short, they are perfect for maintaining your ideal weight and will not affect your training routine, as they will provide the body with everything it needs.
1. Oatmeal and cocoa cookies
These cookies will be an ideal snack to eat between meals. This is what you will need:
- 2 bananas
- 1 glass of rolled oats or oat bran, or both
- 2 tablespoons of agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon of pure, unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg white (the white part)
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Start by mashing the bananas and then add the oats, agave syrup and coconut oil. Turn everything well before pouring the egg white which will be used to make the biscuits more crunchy. Mix well and add the chocolate powder. If you want to give a personal touch to the recipe, we recommend that you also add some nuts, raisins, some grated coconut or any ingredient that comes to mind.
Using molds or simply your hands, create the classic shape of the biscuits, according to your tastes. We suggest you do not make them too thick. Put in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Once they are ready, remove them from the hot tray and let them cool on a rack, so that they do not lose their consistency.
2. Protein brownie: a sweet that makes you lose weight
Protein ice creams are a real trend these days. For this reason, among our recipes for desserts that make you lose weight, the delicious brownie could not be missing. Here’s how to do it:
- 1/2 cup of lactose-free milk or oatmeal, or any other flavor you like
- 4 egg whites
- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
- 1 banana
- 3 tablespoons of agave syrup
- 1 glass of oatmeal or spelled flour
- 4 tablespoons of protein powder, if possible with a vanilla, chocolate or neutral flavor
- 1 packet of yeast
- walnuts and black chocolate noodles
Start breaking up the bananas and mix them with milk, oil, agave syrup. Beat the egg whites until they are almost whipped. Keep them for a few seconds while you finish adding the flour, protein powder and baking powder to the mixture. Finally, combine all the ingredients, gently mixing the egg whites until you get a homogeneous mixture. If before adding the whites you notice the presence of many lumps, you can solve the problem using the blender so as to have a much more homogeneous result.
Pour the mixture into a mold and garnish everything using chopped walnuts and chocolate chips. Put in the oven, previously heated to 150 degrees, for about half an hour. We are sure it will become one of your favorite desserts!
3. English cream
To take advantage of the yolks that you will have discarded during the preparation of the high-protein brownie, you must first mix them with two glasses of skimmed or lactose-free milk or oat, coconut or even another flavor. Add half a bag of corn flour and two tablespoons of protein powder, with the vanilla flavor. Also add a cinnamon stick if you like. Let it boil for two minutes and remove from the heat.
Pour the hot mixture into some molds (but ice cream cups are also good), let it cool and put everything in the fridge. This dessert will also be one of the most popular weight loss sweets for you and your friends.
