Who Are The Promising Young Tennis Players

A German, an Australian and a Croatian are the three young promises of tennis.
Who are the promising young tennis players?

The promising young tennis players will not be able to match great players like Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer. However, little by little, they are making their way trying to leave a mark in the history of this sport.

No player can be the copy of another, even if he wanted to imitate him. It may be that young people are inspired by the technique of the most experienced, which more or less have similarities, but, in one way or another, they will always end up developing their own style. Personal experience is something that cannot be copied.

For now, we can only focus our attention on three promises of tennis who, despite their young age, are making their way among the great players of the ATP circuit.

We are talking about Alexander Zverev, one of the most promising young players in today’s tennis scene. He is a German tennis player and is only 20 years old. In 2015 he was awarded as the youngest player in the ATP Top 100. On an individual level, the highest position he achieved is number 3, obtained on 11 September 2017.

In the same year he won the Master 1000 in Rome which allowed him, despite his young age, to enter the top 10 for the first time in his career.

Alexander Zverev is not only a very competitive player, he is also very critical of himself. This is attested by the statements on his sporting season in 2017:

Although 2017 ended badly, Zverev plans to start the new season with the right motivation:

Another great promise of tennis is Nick Kyrgios: a 22-year-old Australian who, with his quality of play, is the envy of many. His skills are allowing him to become one of the best tennis players around.

He won the Australian Open in 2013 in the junior singles category. He is regarded worldwide as one of the players with the greatest career prospects. In 2014 he reached the quarter-finals in Wimbledon by beating Rafael Nadal in the round of 16.

Thanks to his tennis, played at a high pace, he has already won three ATP titles that have allowed him to enter the top 50 players in the world at just 19 years old. Due to his young age, at times, he assumes a behavior that goes a little over the top, but if he manages to control himself and mature, in the future he can become one of the great tennis stars.

Last season he made some indecent statements for a player of his level. It will surely be talked about for many years to come:

Despite having fewer titles than the young players we mentioned earlier , can boast in his palmares two victories against Nadal. This can give us an idea of the quality and concreteness of his game on the pitch.

After one of his two wins against Nadal, Coric made the following statement:

Only time will tell us how the careers of these young tennis players will end.  Motivation, hard training and determination will be key. For now we can only look at their evolution and hope for the best.
